Terms and Conditions
FEES
The course fees are due when booking.
A non-refundable deposit of £100 is part of the course fee.
CANCELLATION
If you wish to cancel your place on a course, your request should be made in writing via email. If your request is received more than 28 days prior to the course start date, you will be entitled refund minus the non refundable deposit (£100).
If you cancel the course less than 28 days but more than 14 days prior to the start date you will be entitled to a refund minus the deposit and minus £15 for every day over and above 14 days.
If your request is received within two weeks of the course start date, we will only be able to offer a refund (minus non refundable deposit) if your place can be filled by another student.
If you withdraw from a course once it has started, we will not be able to refund the course fees.
We reserve the right to amend or cancel courses at any time. If we cancel a course we shall endeavor to give you at least two weeks notice and you will have the option of transferring to another course or having a full refund of the fees.
We will not be liable for any losses (including, but not limited to, travel and accommodation costs) arising as a consequence of any modification or cancellation of courses as set out above beyond the cost of the course fee.
MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT
The course fee does not include the cost of upholstery/soft furnishing materials and frames that you wish to take home unless specified. You can either supply your own materials or purchase materials from us as and when required.
Tools will be provided for use by us. There are a limited number of tools available to borrow to take home in between lessons.
As deposit might be required.
It is the students responsibility to record materials used - otherwise a flat fee will be charged at the discretion of the tutor.
HEALTH & SAFETY You are required to follow all health and safety instructions
and only use tools (both hand and machine) after receiving instruction.
Taking this course and using the tools are at your own risk.
Working with furniture will involve moving, lifting and carrying and therefore any pieces that you bring to work on need to be suitable for your degree of physical strength and fitness.
All personal possessions, including motor vehicles and tools, are brought to the course at your own risk.
You need to wear appropriate clothing and shoes (no open toes)
NON ATTENDANCE Non attendance of classes due to illness or for personal or professional reasons does not provide the right to refunds, extra tuition or a transfer. However, in such an event we will consider all the circumstances and take such action that we consider to be fair and reasonable.
LIABILITY
We will not be liable for the safety, quality or durability of any work produced by students. All furniture, materials, fabrics and any other personal possessions brought onto the premises are there at the owner’s risk. We have insurances which is considers appropriate to the nature of its business. The details of the insurance policy are available for viewing on request.
